The Government of Uttar Pradesh will conduct Uttar Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test (UPTET) for recruitment of teachers in primary (class I -V) and upper primary (VI-VIII) schools in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

Eligibility and Qualifications for Uttar Pradesh TET :
.

For Primary Teacher (Classes I-V)--
You should have completed Graduation with not less than 50% aggregate score and have a 2 year Diploma in Special Education/BTC/Nursery Teacher Training recognized by NCTE.
OR
-You should have a 4 year Diploma in Elementary Education

For Upper Primary Teacher (Classes VI-VIII)--
You should have completed Graduation with not less than 50% aggregate score and have a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree
- Professional degrees such as BBA, BCA, B.Tech, B.E etc are NOT eligible for the UP TET exam.

UPTET Exam Schedule
Advertisement Date : 10th December 2013
Last date for online Registration: 1st January 2014
UPTET 2014 Admit card available from: 6th February 2014
UP TET 2014 written test date : 22nd February 2014 and 23rd February 2014
Exam answer key of Uttar Pradesh TET exam available from: 25th February 2014
UP TET 2014 results : 27th March 2014

Now dates for Uttar Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test (UPTET) is over , next Uttar Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test (UPTET) notification will publish in December 2014

Uttara Pradesh Education Board conducts the Uttara Pradesh Education Board. Here, I am giving you details of the UPTET.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicant need to have gradation degree in any discipline form recognized university with one year degree in elementary education (B.EL.ED) OR BTC training.

UPTET 2015 Important Dates:

Official notification release date: May 2015
Application forms online registration starting date: May 2015
Last date: May 2015
UPTET 2015 Exam Date - June 2015

Application Fee:

1.For candidates who are belong to SC/ST category pay Rs.150/-.
2.For other category candidates have to pay Rs.500/-.

UPTET Exam pattern:

Question Paper: FOR Primary Class (1ST TO 5TH Class)
Teaching Methodology and Pedagogy: 30 Questions
Comprehension: 30 Questions
General Grammar: 30 Questions
Language: 60 Questions

FOR Upper Primary Class (6ST TO 8TH Class)
Teaching Methodology and Pedagogy: 30 Questions
Comprehension: 30 Questions

All Questions will be of OBJECTIVE TYPE.

Unit-1 (Marks 6)

. Child Development: Concept of growth and development, Principles and dimensions of development. Factors affection development (especially in the context of family and school) and its relationship with learning
. Role of Heredity and environment
Unit-II (Marks 6)

. Meaning and Concept of learning and its processes, Factors Affecting learning
. Theories of learning and its implication
. How Children learn and think
. Motivation and Implications for Learning

Unit-III (Marks 6)

. Individual Differences: Meaning, types and factors affecting Individual differences Understanding individual differences on the basis of language, gender, community, caste and religion
. Personality: Concept and types of personality, factors responsible for shaping it, Its measurement
. Intelligence: Concept, Theories and its measurement, Multidimensional Intelligence

Unit-IV (Marks 6)

. Understanding diverse learners: Backward, mentally retarded, gifted, creative, disadvantaged and deprived, specially-abled
. Learning difficulties
. Adjustment: Concept and ways of adjustment. Role of teacher in the adjustment

Unit V (Marks 6)

. Teaching learning process, Teaching learning strategies and methods in the context of National Curriculum Framework 2005.
. Meaning and purposes of Assessment, Measurement and Evaluation Comprehensive and Continuous Evaluation. Constriction of Achievement Test.
. Action Research
. Right to Education Act 2009 (Role and Responsibilities of Teachers)

This section is divided into six units, each section carrying 5 marks each.

Unit I:

. Unseen Prose Passage
. Synonyms, Antonyms, Spellings, Word-formation, One Word Substitution.

Unit II:

. Unseen Prose Passage
. Part of Speech, Tenses, Determiners, Change of Degrees

Unit III:

. Framing question including -questions, Active and Passive Voice, Knowledge of English sounds and Phonetic Symbols.

Unit IV:

. Principles of Teaching English, Methods and Approaches to English Language Teaching.

Unit V:

. Development of Language Skills, Teaching Learning Materials: Text books, Multi-Media Materials and other resources

Unit VI:

. Comprehensive & Continuous Evaluation, Evaluation Language Proficiency
