Internationally recognized as one of the top petroleum engineering schools in the country, the McDougall School of Petroleum Engineering is the largest department on the TU campus with an enrollment of more than 500 students.

Types of courses offered and their objectives:

Bachelor of Science

Students who complete the undergraduate program will:

Become competent petroleum engineering professionals.
Analyze and design engineering systems, understand the associated uncertainties, and evaluate the economic, environmental, and social impacts.
Synthesize inputs from various sources, apply multidisciplinary fundamentals and articulate technical concepts.

Master of Engineering

The objective of the Master of Engineering (ME) degree is:

Demonstrate advanced technical skills in petroleum engineering or related area.
Demonstrate high standards of ethical, environmental, and societal awareness.
Demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills.
