The Master of Computer and Information Technology course is for applicants whose undergraduate degree is not in computer science.

Degree Requirements

A maximum of seven years allowed to students to complete the MCIT degree program
.
Course Requirements

The MCIT degree program requires the completion of ten course units comprising:

6 Required Courses:

CIT 591, Programming Languages & Techniques I (Fall)
CIT 595, Digital System Organization & Design (Spring; prerequisite CIT 593)
CIT 592, Mathematical Foundations of CS (Fall)
CIS 593, Intro to Computer Architecture (Fall)
CIT 594, Programming Languages & Techniques II (Spring; prerequisite: CIT 591)
CIT 596, Theory of Computation (Spring; prerequisite CIT 592)

4 Electives - CIS graduate courses;

Appropriate for all MCIT students:

CIS 550 - Database and Information Systems
CIS 554 - Programming Paradigms
CIT 597 - Programming Languages and Techniques III (Web programming)
CIS 555 - Internet and Web Systems (heavy workload)
CIS 573 - Software Engineering

Additional suitable courses:

CIS 505 - Software Systems
CIS 551 - Computer and Network Security
CIS 552 - Advanced Programming
CIS 534 - Multicore Programming and Architecture
CIS 542 - Embedded Systems Programming (including Android)
