At Calicut University the University is provides BA Programme in English under Choice Based Credit Semester System Revised Syllabus of Common courses A01-A06 for BA/BSc/BCom and BBA in the regular stream and syllabus of Double Main Programme Core papersimplemented with effect from 2012 admission-approved-orders issued. Bachelor of Arts in English is an undergraduate English language course. It is designed to prepare students to understand and use the English language effectively, build vocabulary and introduce them to current ideas and issues. During the course, the emphasis is given on Indian writing and the syllabus may see the consolidation of a vision predicated on promoting Indian culture obviously through its literary manifestations.
