John A. Burns School of Medicine also known as JABSOM. The School founded in 1965 as a two-year program of basic medical sciences, and became a four-year degree granting program in 1973. JABSOM is accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) of the Association of American Medical Colleges and the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association.

Application Procedure:
The School of Medicine took participation in the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS).
AMCAS service permits applicants to file a single application which is forwarded to medical schools as designated.
AMCAS then forwards UH a copy of the completed application, and the applicant is contacted soon thereafter.
AMCAS Application Deadline to the 2015 Entering Class is November 1, 2014
AMCAS Early Decision Application Deadline to the 2015 Entering Class is August 1, 2014.
