UGC Net JRF Stipend
I have passed in the UGC NET Examination and preparing for Interview. When I will pass in the interview, I will become JRF (Junior Research Fellow). So pls tell me that is there any Stipend given to the Junior Research Fellow (JRF)? I want its official notification because I lost my notification that I was downloaded on the time of submission of application form?

The University Grants Commission offers scholarships to those talented candidates who qualify the CBSE UGC NET Exam with a meritorious score. The main objective of UGC JRF Fellowship is to provide opportunities to deserving candidates to undertake advanced studies and research, leading to M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree in Humanities and Social Sciences including Languages and Sciences. UGC Net JRF Fellowship The rate of fellowship for JRF and SRF will be at par with the UGC fellowship as amended from time to time. Presently these rates are as follows Fellowship @ Rs.25,000/- p.m. for initial two years (JRF) @ Rs.28,000/- p.m. for remaining tenure (SRF) Contingency for Contingency for Humanities & Social Sciences and Commerce @ Rs.10, 000/- p.a. for initial two years. @ Rs.20, 500/- p.a. for remaining three years Contingency for Science @ Rs.12, 000/- p.a. for initial two years @ Rs.25, 000/- p.a. for remaining three years. Escorts/Reader Assistance @ Rs.2,000/- p.m. in cases of physically and visually challenged candidates Tenure of fellowship - Initially for 2 years. The duration can be extended further for a period of three years if the research work done by any candidate is found satisfactory by the concerned department of the University/College. |
