The Academic Staff Colleges (ASCs), University of Mysore was established to provide opportunity for in-service college and university teachers to update their professional knowledge linking to career advancement.

Programmes

Orientation Programme -

The Orientation Programme will be of four weeks duration (28 days), with minimum of 24 working days (excluding Sundays) and 144 contact hours (six hours a day).

Refresher Course -

The Refresher Course will be of three weeks duration (21 days), with minimum of 18 working days (excluding Sundays) and 108 contact hours (six hours a day).

Other Programmes will be for a period of 2-6 days duration.

Registration Fee -

Every participant shall pay an admission fee (non-refundable) of Rs. 500/- at the time of admission to the Orientation and Refresher course.

For other programmes, the fee will be intimated separately.

The Refresher Course is attended in the subject that is relevant to his/her research.

No extension in the teacher fellowship is sought on these grounds.

TA/DA to teacher participants Local participants :

Rs. 100/- per day per participant excluding Holidays.

No Traveling Allowances.(Outstation participants )

Rs. 250/- per day per participant including Holidays

Teacher participants may be paid A/C III railway fare (all trains) or A/C deluxe bus fare on production of tickets.

In case only free lodging is provided, DA will be allowed at 75 percent of the ordinary rate of daily allowance.

In case the outstation participant does not avail the facility for boarding/lodging, he/she will be paid Rs. 250/- per day.
