Can you tell me about the types of Master in Business Administration (MBA) Degree Programme offered in UDSM or University of Dar Es Salaam?

The MBA programme in UDSM or University of Dar Es Salaam is designed with the needs of the business world, employers, employees, organizations and students in mind.

An MBA degree programme of the UDBS is offered in three different modes:
• Full Time Mode
• Evening Mode
• Executive Mode
Full Time Mode
It is offered during normal working hours and students registered in the programme are expected to be residing within Dar es Salaam for effective utilization of facilities.

It is divided into four semesters offered within two calendar years starting in October of every year.

The first three semesters are devoted for classes while the fourth semester enables students to write a dissertation (research work) on a topic of one’s choice.

Evening Mode
It is for those who like to combine work and study.
They only attend classes three days a week in the evening starting at 17.00 – 20.00 hrs. This mode contains seven trimesters with a week’s break-away period between trimesters.
The first six trimesters are for classes while the seventh trimester is used for dissertation writing (research work) on a topic of one’s choice.
It is completed within two calendar years starting in July of each year.

Executive Mode
It is designed to combine work and study.
This is a highly interactive module-based mode of offering the MBA programme.
It is run on a modular basis having 8 modules.
A module comprises of 3 courses and runs for 5 days for each course
