After clearing SBI Exam, she/he will be under a probation period for at least 2 years.

In general 2 years of training period is provided to SBI PO candidates. As Probationary Officer candidates will be on probation of 2 years, during which they will be given intensive training.

Towards the end of your probation/training period, you will have to go through a screening process.

Promotions for SBI PO:

2 years Probation Period & Intensive Training- Screening Process -Officer Middle Management Grade Scale-II OR Officer Junior Management Grade Scale-I

Normally in SBI there are promotions in every 3-4 years and an SBI Probationary Officer can reach to a very high level (even Chairman of the bank) in the course of his or her career.

Earnings:

Basic Salary = Rs. 27620
Dearness Allowance = Rs. 12677
City Compensatory Allowance (CCA) = Rs. 870
Special Allowance = Rs. 2140
Total Earning Before Deductions = Rs. 43307

Deductions:

PF (10% of Basic) = Rs. 2762
NPS (10% of Basic+DA) = Rs. 4000
Income Tax = As per govt norms.

Other allowances including Newspapers, Entertainment Allowance, Conveyance etc.) = Rs. 4130
HRA = Rs. 2486

Salary In Hand = Rs 40000 Per Month (Approx.)

SBI PO Salary Package in India:

SBI PO Basic Pay Rs. 27620/- (4 Increments also applicable)
Dearness Allowance (DA) 46.9% of the Basic Pay (Revised Quarterly)
(CCA) This varies with the place of posting at 4% or 3%.
HRA 9%, 8% or 7% (Depends on the place of posting)
Furniture Allowance Rs. 120000/-
Medical Insurance 100% medical coverage for SBI employees and 75% for their family members
Travelling Allowance For official travels, reimbursement of AC 2-tier fare is provided
Petrol Approx. Rs. 1100-1250
SBI PO Gross Salary with HRA Total Compensation: ₹7.55 lakhs and maximum of ₹12.93 lakhs depending on the place of posting and other factors.
