Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati is the first among the third era IITs, reported in 2014, to have the establishment stone laid in March 2015. This new IIT begins working on interim grounds in Tirupati from the scholastic year of 2015-16. IIT Tirupati is beginning with the full backing of it's coaching foundation, IIT Madras.

Under NSS program understudies of IIT Tirupati are going to government schools each weekend and show school understudies about science, maths, English and so on.
