The Undergraduate Medical Education program of University of Toronto is four years in length. The last 2 years are known as the Clerkship.

The first two years of the course occur in laboratory, classroom, clinical, and community settings and are designed to prepare students for the work-place learning that occurs in clerkship.

Bachelor's Degree:
• Minimum 3 years of study towards a Canadian university bachelor degree in any discipline (equivalent of 15 credits)

o One applying in the final year of a 3 year or 4 year degree program need to complete the degree requirements and provide proof of completion prior to the date of enrolment

o One applying in the 3rd year of a 4 year degree program need to provide proof that one has completed the requirements of that year of the degree prior to the date of enrolment in the medical program

• One is expected to have taken courses at a level corresponding with the year of the program
o One who applies for admission while registered in the third year of undergraduate studies should have minimum 3 third-year or higher courses in one’s program.

o One in the fourth year of the program must enrolled in a majority of courses at the third- and fourth-year levels
GPA:
• minimum GPA of 3.6 / 4.0 on the OMSAS scale

MCAT:

• MCAT 2015 minimum scores of 125 in each of the four sections
• if one has written the old MCAT minimum scores of 9 in each of the three sections

Prerequisites:
• 2 full-course equivalents (FCE) in any life science
• 1 full-course equivalent (FCE) in any of social sciences, humanities, or a language
