Tamil Nadu Public Service has issued the notification of recruitment for various posts included in Group-I Services.

TNPSC Group 1 exam conducts for the following posts given below:
Assistant Commissioner : 33 posts (Post Code: 1003)
Deputy Collector : 03 posts
Deputy Superintendent of Police : 33 posts (Post Code: 1002)
Assistant Director of Rural Development Department : 10 posts

Eligibility Criteria:
Aspirants should be between 21 and 36 yrs.
Relaxation will be offered to Aspirants
Aspirants must have a Degree from any recognized University / Institutions.
Aspirants who are in final year can also apply for preliminary exam but they need to produce their qualifying examination while appearing for Main Exam.

Application Fees:
Rs. 125/-for general Aspirants and other Aspirants have to pay Rs. 50/-

Pay Scale:
TNPSC Group I Services -Rs 15,600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs 5400.

Important Dates:
Last Date to Apply for GROUP 1 exam: 28th January 2014
Date of Group 1 Preliminary exam: 26th April 2014
Date of Download of TNPSC Group 1 Hall ticket: April 2014

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission group I exam details are as given below:

Date of Online application for GROUP 1 Exam:
Dec 29th, 2013

Last Date to Apply for GROUP 1 exam: Jan 28th, 2014

Date of Group 1 service exam:
July 20th, 2014

Eligibility:
The Candidates should possess the following or its equivalent qualification:-

The Candidates should possess a Degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or any other Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.

Exam pattern
Group 1 Exam will consists of Preliminary Examination, Main Written Examination and Oral Test.

Preliminary Examination:
Preliminary examination will consists of 200 items in objective type, duration will be 3 Hours for maximum marks of 300.

Main Written Examination & Oral Interview:
Main examination will consists of descriptive type questions from degree standard.
