TNPSC Break Inspector

I want to know the eligibility criteria to apply for the TNPSC Motor Vehicles Inspector exam so can you tell me?

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) conducts the Examination for the post of Motor Vehicles Inspector, Grade-II in the Tamil Nadu Transport Subordinate Service.

Eligibility

Pass in the SSLC Examination

A Diploma in Automobile Engineering (3 years course) or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (3 years course) awarded by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu.

Experience of having worked for a period of not less than one year

Must hold a Driving Licence Authorising him to Drive Motor Cycle, Heavy Goods Vehicles and Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicles

Must have experience in Driving Heavy Transport Vehicles for a period of not less than six months.

Age limit-

Age should be 21-32 years.

No maximum age limit for SCs, SC (Arunthathiyars on preferential basis),STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs (Other than BCMs), BCMs and Destitute Widows of all castes.

Age relaxation upto 5 years is available for persons those who are affected by the ban order as per the orders of the Government.

Application form-

Application can be obtained from the Post Offices on payment of Rs.30/- and Examination fees is Rs.100/-

Written Test-

Written Test will be a single paper in the following subjects for Diploma Standard

Automobile Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Interview and Record - 40 marks

Minimum qualifying marks for Selection

SCs, SC(A)s,STs, MBCs/ DCs, BCs(Other than BCMs), BCMs - 102 marks

Others - 136 marks
