For Assistant Engineer Post you have to clear the exam conducted by TNEB.
The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) conducts written exams and interview for the posts of Engineers, Assistants and Junior Engineers. It held in the months of October/ November every year.

Eligibility for the TNEB-

Degree in Engineering with the min. Required percentage of marks in either of the following disciplines Electrical / Civil/ Electronics & Communication/ Mechanical/ Computer Science or Information Technology/ Electronics & Instrumentation respectively.

Age Criteria-

The age should not be more than 30 years.

Selection for TNEB-

The candidates will be selected on the basis of merit or score obtained in the Interviews.
