Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) is an agricultural university and is a leading agro technology provider of India and its graduates are recognized throughout the world. It offers thirteen undergraduate degree programs, forty graduate degree programs and twenty-six doctoral programs in 15 colleges distributed in 11 campuses all over Tamil Nadu.

As per my knowledge, TNAU or Tamilnadu Agricultural University does not offer Lateral Entry in Under Graduate Courses or any course.

Eligible Groups for UG Programmes in TNAU

Faculty of Agriculture / Horticulture / Forestry / Home Science

B.Sc. in Agriculture
B.Sc. in Horticulture
B.Sc. HomeScience
B.Sc. in Sericulture
B.Sc. in Forestry
B.S. in Agribusiness Management
B.Tech. in Horticulture
B.Tech. in Bioinformatics
B.Tech. in Agricultural Information Technology
B.Tech. in Biotechnology

Eligibility:
Students who studied one of the following groups in Higher secondary (+2) are eligible to apply

Group I : Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology

(OR)

Group II : Physics, Chemistry, Biology with any one of the following subjects as fourth (elective) subject

Biochemistry Biotechnology Microbiology Home Science Computer Science.

(OR)

Group II A : Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology

Minimum Eligible Percentage of Marks for TNAU

The minimum percentage of marks eligibility for each category is listed below .

Category Percentage Required

Open competition 55% aggregate of all the four subjects
BC and BCM 50% aggregate of all the four subjects
MBC and Denotified 45% aggregate of all the four subjects
SC and ST A pass in qualifying examination
