Re: Tips for Good CAT Percentile Score
Here I am giving you some tips to get good in CAT percentile score and syllabus of CAT for preparation of admission in MBA through CAT. Tips to get Good in CAT: Cracking CAT seems to be an impossible task without proper guidance or coaching. If you follow a systematic and meticulous approach, cracking CAT would be an achievable task. Go through the syllabus and start with the basics Practice past years’ CAT questions and exam analysis. Take a preliminary mock test on knowing about your current stand. Make Section wise study plan, there are 2 sections in CAT, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation and Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning. For the Section 1, practice for topics includes Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration and Higher Math to name a few. For the second section, focus on grammar and vocabulary. Get a good grip over these areas, solving Reading Comprehension passages would not be a problem. Start with solving puzzles, Sudoku, past year’s Logical Reasoning section of CAT etc. Time management is one of the most crucial factors of the CAT preparation. It would also be an important factor during the exam as well. CAT Syllabus: Quantitative Ability Syllabus: Number Systems LCM and HCF Percentages Profit, Loss and Discount Interest (Simple and Compound) Speed, Time and Distance Time and Work Averages Ratio and Proportion Linear Equations Quadratic Equations Complex Numbers Logarithm Progressions (Sequences & Series) Binomial Theorem Surds and Indices Inequalities Permutation and Combination Probability Functions Set Theory Mixtures and Alligations Geometry Co-ordinate Geometry Trigonometry Mensuration Data Interpretation: Column Graphs Bar Graphs Line Charts Pie Chart Venn Diagrams Caselets Logical Reasoning: Number and Letter Series Calendars Clocks Cubes Venn Diagrams Binary Logic Seating Arrangement Logical Sequence Logical Matching Logical Connectives Syllogism Blood Relations Verbal Ability: Types of Questions Vocabulary Based (Synonyms Antonyms) English Usage or Grammar Sentence Correction Fill in the blanks Cloze Passage Analogies or Reverse Analogies Jumbled Paragraph Meaning-Usage Match Summary Questions Verbal Reasoning Facts / Inferences / Judgements Reading Comprehension Vocabulary: Vocabulary questions test the candidate’s knowledge of the primary meanings of words, secondary shades of meaning, usage, idioms and phrases, antonyms, related words, etc. Grammar: Grammar-based questions test the candidate’s ability to spot and correct grammatical errors. CAT generally tests knowledge of high school level grammar and includes areas like subject-verb agreement, use of modifiers, parellel construction, redundancy, phrasal verbs, use of articles, prepositions, etc. Verbal Reasoning: Verbal reasoning questions are designed to test the candidate’s ability to identify relationships or patterns within groups of words or sentences. |

Re: Tips for Good CAT Percentile Score
Hey as The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a computer based test held in India Syllabus Quantitative ability, Data interpretation, Verbal Ability Logical reasoning Here I am giving you some tips for Good CAT Percentile Score Go through some of the model examinations that you have taken over the last few months. You should take a re-look at the questions that you have got correct. More importantly, spend a little more time on the questions you got wrong during the actual model exam and formulate a better way of solving the same. It is advisable to check the test centre location, travel time and traffic conditions in advance, and plan your travel accordingly. The flexibility to switch between the two sections is touted to allow aspirants to spend more time either in their weaker section to clear the section cut-off score Given the higher number of questions, the test is also a measure of your ability to select the right questions to answer. The new pattern is expected to be more student-friendly and the aspirants are expected to score better; yet one may not be able to obtain the desired percentile unless one is capable of solving good number of At this level, the difference between getting a good percentile that will lead you to a good B-school and settling for a lesser one could just be a couple of questions. So do not let go of the intensity of your run-up to the exam. |
