The TIFR national level entrance exam for biology, TIFR GS, is also known as
Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life
Sciences

Eligibility Criteria

Mathematics
For Ph.D. : M.A./M.Sc./M.Tech.
For I-Ph.D. : B.A./B.Sc./B.E./B.Tech.

Physics
For Ph.D.: M.Sc./M.S. in Physics, or equivalent, on completion of programmes(s) of duration not less than 5 years in total.

Chemistry
For Ph.D.: M.Sc./M.Pharm.
For Ph.D.: B.Sc./B.E./B.Tech./B.Pharm.

Test Timings
Morning Session: 09:30 AM to 12:30 PM. (Physics, Chemistry, Computer & Systems Sciences, M.Sc. Wildlife Biology & Conservation).
Afternoon Session: 02:30 PM to 04:30 PM. (Mathematics & Biology).
Candidates short listed on basis of the exam will be called for interview.
