After 12th, you can not join Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, for PhD, here are BARC PhD admission details:

It is India's premier nuclear research facility based in Mumbai.

BARC is a multi disciplinary research center with extensive infrastructure for advanced research and development covering the entire spectrum of nuclear science, engineering and related areas.

Ph.D

Eligibility;

The basic qualification for applying to this course is M.Sc ( Physics )
The candidates should have scored minimum of 60% marks (aggregate) in B.Sc. as well as in M.Sc (Physics).

Incase of grade system, grade to percentage of marks conversion scheme obtained from University should be submitted along with the application failing which application will not be considered.

Age limit
(a) General Category-26 years,
(b) OBC-29 years,
(c) SC / ST – 31 years

Selection Process:

Selection for the Ph.D. programme is a 2-step process:

Screening for Physical and Chemical Sciences shall be on the basis of the rank obtained/marks scored in the UGC-CSIR-JRF NET.

Screening for Life Sciences shall be on the basis of the rank obtained / marks scored in the UGC-CSIR-JRF NET or similar NET conducted by the DBT, ICAR or ICMR.

Additional criteria based on previous academic performance in the MSc and/or BSc examinations may be used for screening.

Short-listed candidates shall be called for interview.

Applicants called for interview will not be paid any train / bus fare.
