Thanthai Periyar Government Institute of Technology in Bagayam, Vellore was established in July 1990 and is one of the six Government Engineering colleges fully governed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE) of the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Admission procedure
As you want I am telling Admissions for various courses are given under government quota and management quota there. Applicants will be admited on the basis of the entrance examination which is conducted by Anna University. The merit list is prepared by the official authority and candidates are selected on the basis of the same. Final seats will be allocated on the basis of the counselling procedure.

Eligibility Criteria:
B.tech
Passed 10 + 2 physics &Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational Subjects.
45% for general & 40% for SC/ST

M.Tech

B.E. or B.Tech in Computer / Information Technology, MCA (mathematics as optional in UG)/M.Sc.(Info. Tech.)/M.Sc.(Comp.Sc.).
Obtained at least 55% (50% in case of SC/ST )
