Hello sir my sister wants to take admission in teaching courses of Mumbai University so please provide me detailed information about these courses.

The Department of Education was established in the year 1974 and is situated in the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Bhavan, Vidyanagari, Kalina, Mumbai.

Teaching Profession - Courses,

1. Pre-primary teachers training:
Criteria - 10th/12th pass from recognised board
One year education program
After completing this one can take up a job in pre-primary section of a school.

2. D.ED (Diploma program)
Criteria - 12th pass from recognised board
Two years education program
After completing this course, one can take a teacher’s job in primary school.

3. B.ED:
Criteria - Minimum qualificate - Graduate any discipline from recognised university

One year teacher education program

After completing the course one can take up a teacher's job in secondary schools (if Graduates) and Junior colleges (if Post Graduates).

4. M.ED:
Criteria - Minimum qualificate - Graduate any discipline from recognised university

One or two year’s course (according to University)

After completing this course one can take up a teacher’s job in college
