Syndicate Bank is one of the oldest and major commercial banks of India. Founded in 1925 in Udupi as Canara Industrial and Banking Syndicate Limited, it was nationalised on 19 July 1969, by the Government of India. It is among the leading Private Sector Banks in India.

Recently the bank invites application for recruitment to the post of Clerks in Kerala and Lakshadweep Islands from Indian citizens who have taken the Common Written Examination for Clerical cadre conducted by IBPS in 2011.
