Syllabus: Computer science engineering syllabus: Database Management System (Deadlock management, firing query,) Digital Logical Design (Different Types of gates AND, OR, NAND, OR & their operations, Type conversion from decimal to binary, hexadecimal etc) Data File Structure (Stack, Queue, Link list, Tree, Graph & their working) Operating System (Thread operation, Memory Management, Deadlock problem, security) Languages- (C/C++, Java, Pl/SQl, .NET) Computer Networks (Different Types of Layers & their working) E-commerce & E-business (Business Model, Advertising models, SCM, CRM, ERP) Computer Graphics Information Security (Authentication, Confidentiality, Integrity etc) General Awareness: It encompasses all international, national, and regional current affairs on social education, health, inflation, poverty, and other related topics. It covers 20 multiple choice questions in exam. English and reasoning: General English knowledge like antonyms, synonyms, sentence improvement & arrangement, spelling errors, analogy, idioms, one word substitution, and word selection. Paper of reasoning consists of very basic questions. Engineering Concepts: Engineering mechanics, Materials, Measurements, Thermodynamics, Photons and electrons, Circuits, Transformers, Induction and synchronous motors, AC/ DC machines, Computer engineering. |

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited conducts the exam for the Management Trainee. The written exam has following pattern. Part:1 – 20 Questions GK/Current Affairs MCQs Part: 2 – 40 Questions Reasoning and English MCQs Part: 3- 100 Technical questions. As per your request, I am sharing you syllabus of HAL Management trainee (computer science and engineering) technical syllabus. Digital Logic: Logic functions, Minimization, Design and synthesis of combinational and sequential circuits; Number representation and computer arithmetic (fixed and floating point). Computer Organization and Architecture: Machine instructions and addressing modes, ALU and data-path, CPU control design, Memory interface, I/O interface (Interrupt and DMA mode), Instruction pipelining, Cache and main memory, Secondary storage. Programming and Data Structures: Programming in C; Functions, Recursion, Parameter passing, Scope, Binding; Abstract data types, Arrays, Stacks, Queues, Linked Lists, Trees, Binary search trees, Binary heaps. Algorithms: Analysis, Asymptotic notation, Notions of space and time complexity, Worst and average case analysis; Design: Greedy approach, Dynamic programming, Divide-and-conquer; Tree and graph traversals, Connected components, Spanning trees, Shortest paths; Hashing, Sorting, Searching.
