As you want to get syllabus of GPSC Exam paper third for doing preparation of this exam so here I am giving you same:

1. VETERINARY ANATOMY
Classification, physical properties and structures of bones of animals with their topography, contour, landmarks and functional anatomy from clinical and production point of view. Classification, structure and biomechanics of joints with reference to quadruped locomotion. Structural and functional classification of muscles from clinical and production point of view in animals. Gross morphological, histological and topographical study of various organs and tissues in different species of animals and poultry.

2. VETERINARY PHYSIOLOGY & BIOCHEMISTRY
Hematology in animals. Cardiac cycle, regulation of cardiac output and significance of ECG in veterinary practice. Hemodynamics of circulation. Functional morphology of nephron, glomerular titration rate and reabsorption mechanisms. Electrolyte, water and acid base balance. Physiology of nervous system and muscles. Physiology of special senses. Morphological and functional characteristic of mono gastric and poly gastric digestive and respiratory systems. Hormone cell interaction, sub-cellular mechanisms-metabolism of hormones-methods of study of endocrine system. Follicular development dynamics, endocrine and receptor profiles, sexual receptivity, ovarian cycle, post partum ovarian activity, ovum transport, capacitation, fertilization, reproductive cycles in farm animals. Function and regulations of spermatogenic cycle. Functional and metabolic organization of mammary glands and lacto genesis. Growth metabolism and hormone interactions. Heat tolerance and acclimatization. Neurophysiology of animal behavior. Biochemistry of carbohydrates, lipids proteins and nucleic acid. Enzymes, coenzymes, cofactors & iso-enzymes. Enzymes and coenzymes involved in oxidation /reduction, carbohydrate, lipid protein and nucleic acid metabolism.

3. VETERINARY PHARMACOLOGY & TOXICOLOGY
Pharmacokinetics - Routes of drug administration, absorption, distribution, biotransformation and excretion of drugs. Pharmacodynamics-Concept of drug and receptor, dose-response relationship, terms related to drug activity and factors modifying the drug effect and dosage. Adverse drug reactions, drug interaction, drug- designing and development, Drugs acting on digestive, cardiovascular, respiratory, urogenital, nervous, cardiac, skin and mucous membrane. Pharmaco therapeutics of hormones and vitamins. Bio-enhancers, immune ostiulants immunosuppressant’s, autacoids. Antibacterial, antibiotics, antifungal, antiprotozoal, parasiticides. Indigenous drugs in animal treatment. Toxicology of plants, industrial and agrochemicals and snake bites. Hazards of residues in animal products

4. VETERINARY PARASITOLOGY
Host- parasite relationship, mode of transmission of parasites and methods of dissemination of the infective stages of the parasite. Tissue reactions caused by parasites to the host. Resistance of hosts to parasitic infections/infestations. Life cycle of the helminths in relation to transmission, pathogenesis, epidemiology. Diagnosis and control measures of trematodes, cestodes, nematodes and arthropods of animals and birds. Life cycle in relation to transmission, pathogenesis, diagnosis and control of protozoa of veterinary importance. Recent developments in protozoan vaccines for field use.

5. VETERINARY MICROBIOLOGY
Morphology, structure, growth and nutrition of bacteria.Classification and nomenclature of bacteria. Sources and transmission of infection. Pathogenicity, virulence and infection. Resistance and susceptibility of host bacteraemia, septicaemia, toxaemia. Endotoxins and exotoxins; Bacterial genetics. Plasmids, Antibiotic resistance. Morphology, growth, nutrition, reproduction and classification of fungi. General properties, replication, cultivation and purification of viruses. Cell-Virus interactions. Viral genetics. Interferon. Immune system: organs, tissues and cells. Types of immunity. Development of humoral and cellular immune responses. Antigens: definition, specificity, types and factors affecting immunogenicity, blood group antigens. Antibodies: Structure, properties and function of different classes of immunoglobulins, Site, mechanism and theories of antibody production, Monoclonal antibodies. Major histocompatibility complex, Complement system; Cytokines: Major types and functions. Serological reactions: Hypersensitivity, autoimmunity and immune tolerance. Immunization of animals. Role of conventional and modem vaccines in immunoprophylaxis. Adjuvants. Quality control of biologicals. Pathogenic bacteria and fungi in relation to their morphology, isolation, growth, colonial, biochemical and antigenic characters, pathogenicity and diagnosis. Classification and characteristics of various families of DNA and RNA viruses causing diseases in livestock and poultry, laboratory diagnostic techniques and immunity to viral infections. Prions, Exotic and emerging animal and poultry viruses.
