The syllabus for Food Inspector post Exam in the state of Punjab which is conducted by Punjab Government is as follows: Punjabi Language Topics: This section is designed to test the language abilities and understanding of Punjabi grammar. Questions are asked mainly from the following categories., Vocabulary, Synonyms, Antonyms, Idioms & phrases, Error Correction, Spellings, Noun, Pronoun, Adjective, Adverb, Verb etc. English Language Topics: Verb, Adverb, Subject Verb Agreement, Error Correction, Tenses, Sentence Rearrangement, Fill in the Blanks with Modals, Articles etc, Comprehension , Answering questions based on Unseen Passages, Vocabulary, Synonyms, Antonyms General Awareness Topics: India (History, Polity, Economy, Geography), Punjab (History, Culture, Language & Literature), Current Affairs (Punjab, National and International), Who’s Who, Appointments, Sports, Books and Authors, Awards and Honours, General Science , Inventions and Discoveries, Abbreviations, Important Days, International and National Organisations Mental Ability (Reasoning) Topics: Number Series, Alphabet Series, Test of Direction Sense, Coding-Decoding, Number Ranking, Arithmetical Reasoning, Problem on Age Calculation, Blood Relations, Analogy, Decision Making, Syllogism, Statement and Conclusion, Statement and Argument, Non Verbal Series, Mirror Images, Cubes and Dice, Grouping Identical Figures, Embedded Figures Mathematical Skills Topics: Number System, HCF, LCM, Simplification, Decimal Fractions, Ratio and Proportions, Unitary Method, Percentage, Time and Distance, Time and Work, Profit and Loss, Average, Simple and Compound Interest, Menstruation (2D and 3D), Data Interpretation, Data Sufficiency Written Test Pattern: The test will have 150 Questions of one mark each. 1) Punjabi Language (13 Marks) 2) English Language (12 Marks) 3) General Knowledge (25 Marks) 4) Mental Ability (50 Marks) 5) Mathematical Skills (25 Marks) 6) Computer Profeciency (25 Marks) Minimum qualifying marks for candidates of all categories will be 35% of the total marks.
