The Union Public Service Commission conducts written examination for recruitment of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) viz. Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). The Syllabus of the Exam is given below CAPF Paper I syllabus (General Ability and Intelligence) This section has questions mainly from 6 topics for which the following are the syllabus: Mental Ability: In this section, the questions will be made mainly from the topics like logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude, numerical ability, and data interpretation. General Science: This topic will cover questions from the topic like the Information technology, science at the basic level of understanding. The candidates can refer to the higher secondary syllabus of the Science subject for better understanding. Current Events of National and International Importance Indian Polity and Economy This section is a broader one. Every UPSC exam has questions from this section. To cater these topics, the candidates can refer to the NCERT text books of class 11 and 12. History of India Indian and World Geography CAPF Syllabus 2017 (Paper 2) General Study, Essay and Comprehension This part is subjective in nature and the syllabus of this examination covers the following syllabus. There are three sub parts in these papers namely A, B and C. the general information as per the parts is as follows: Part-A: Essay question either in Hindi or English (80 Marks) Basically the topics are from modern Indian History especially from the Freedom Struggle, Geography, Polity, Economy, Human rights Issues and current affair. Part-B: Comprehension (120 Marks) This paper can only be done in English. Mainly the topics are Comprehension Passages, Precis writing, developing counter arguments, simple grammar and language. |
