Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhan Samsthana (VYASA) was formerly known as Vivekananda Kendra Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (VK YOGAS). The new name was came into existence in February 2000.
At the time of its establishment its name was Vivekananda Kendra Cikitsa Tatha Anusandhana Samiti (VK YOCTAS from 1981 to 1986).
The Kendra works to bring peace of mind for the society. It usages modern tool of science research to make yoga a socially relevant science.
