Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS), Tirupati, built up in the year 1993, under the aegis of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, as a cutting edge super forte clinic, was conceded the status of a college in the year 1995 by a demonstration of A.P. state lawmaking body vide act no.12 of 1995.
