The Biotechnology is a separate stream in the Biosciences.

Biotechnology is a field of applied biology that involves the use of living organisms and bioprocesses in engineering, technology, medicine and other fields requiring bio-products.

Biotechnology also utilizes these products for manufacturing purpose.

B.Tech. Biotechnology or Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology is an undergraduate Biotechnology course.

Eligibility
The applicant should have pass intermediate (10+2) with subjects such as physics, mathematics, biology and chemistry.

Biotechnology is an interdisciplinary subject encompasses diverse areas of study, be it molecular biology, fisheries, genetics or even medicine, tissue culture, agricultural engineering, Biotechnological procedures apply themselves to a very wide variety of spheres more so because of a clearer understanding of DNA & Genesis.

Eligibility and courses in Biotechnology

Eligibility for Bachelor – Applicants must have done graduation (10+2+3) pattern of education in Agricultural, Physical, Biological, Veterinary and Fishery Sciences.

Eligibility for M.Tech.

Applicants must have done graduation in Chemical / Bio-chemical engineering, Leather technology, Pharmaceutical technology, Food Technology, B.Pharma and Dairy technology,

Post graduates in life sciences, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Botany, Zoology, Genetics, Physiology, Pharmacology and Biophysics can also study for an M.Tech. in Biotechnology.

Eligibility for M.Sc. –

Applicants must have done bachelor's degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education in Physical, Biological, Agricultural, Veterinary, Fishery Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering, Technology or Medicine (MBBS) with at least 55% marks are eligible to apply for M.Sc.

Eligibility for M.Sc. (Agriculture) /M.V Sc. Animal –

Applicants must have done Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Fisheries, Veterinary Sciences or Agricultural Engineering with 70% marks
