Re: State Council of Science and Technology Kerala

Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) is a type of an autonomous body.
It was established in the year 2002.
It is located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India.
it has a State Council lead by the Chief Minister of Kerala and an Executive council chaired by the Executive Vice President (EVP).

R&D centres under KSCSTE

It has following centres under it:

Centre for Earth Science Studies (CESS)
Centre for Water Resources Development and Management (CWRDM)
Kerala Forest Research Institute (KFRI
National Transportation Planning and Research Centre (NATPAC)
Rajiv Gandhi Center for Biotechnology (RGCB)
Tropical Botanic Garden and Research Institute (TBGRI
Kerala School of Mathematics (KSoM
Srinivasa Ramanujan Institute of Basic Sciences (SRIBS)
Kerala State Centre for Assistive Technologies (KSCAT)

It has several programmes like Coastal Zone Management, Science Popularisation and Women Scientists Cell to promote its objectives.
The Council coordinates the state-level activities in connection with the observances of the National Science Day, National Technology Day and World Environment Day.

It has instituted three awards: Vasudev Award, Science Literature Awards and Young Scientists Award which are presented annually
