Here are details about the Staff Selection Commission(SSC) Stenographer Grade C& D exam

Eligibility criteria:-

Education Qualification: Intermediate Pass / class 12th pass or appearing candidate can fill application form for Stenographer. every year many lakh 10+2 qualified candidate are appearing in stenographer recruitment.

Age Limit: Candidate age should be Minimum 18 year and maximum 27 year for applying for the Stenographer C&D grade exam.

Selection Procedure: Selection of the candidates wil be on the basis of National Level exam .

SSC stenographer written exam will be held on 27 December 2015 .

All those candidates who will be declared qualified in the written examination they will be call for Skill Test / Typing Test and stenography Test .

SYLLABUS FOR SSC STENOGRAPHER:

General Intelligence & Reasoning


Include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. Questions qill be based on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series etc.
The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate‘s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions.

General Awareness
Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate‘s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research etc. These questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.

Note: For VH candidates of 40% and above visual disability and opting for SCRIBE there will be no component of Maps/Graphs/Diagrams/Statistical Data in the General Intelligence & Reasoning / General Awareness Paper.


English Language & Comprehension

In addition to the testing of candidates' understanding of the English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc. his/her writing ability, would also be tested.

SSC Stenographer is a paper-pen test on all-India open examination directed for recruitment to the post of Stenographer Grade'C' and Grade 'D'. 12 standard qualified aspirants aged between 18 and 27 years of age are eligible to apply for SSC Stenographer Recruitment exam.

Eligibility for SSC Stenographer:-

Nationality:-
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject matter of Nepal, or
(c) a subject matter of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January,1962, with the

Age:- Between 18 to 27 years of age.

Relaxation in upper age limit:-

SC/ST - Five years
OBC - Three years
PH - Ten years

The examination for SSC Stenographer consists of objective type examination followed by skill test in stenography at 100 word per minute (w.p.m) and 80 word per minute (w.p.m) for posts of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ &’D’ respectively.

Subject - Maximum Marks:-

•Part I - General Intelligence & Reasoning (50 questions) - 50 marks
•Part II - General Awareness (50 questions) - 50 marks
•Part III - English Language and Comprehension (100 questions) - 100 marks

Duration:- 2 Hours
There will be negative marks of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
