SSC was initially named as Subordinate Services Commission. The Commission has its headquarter located at New Delhi.
SSC actually conducts of examinations for the recruitment of people in different ministries under the Government of India.

The post of Scientific Assistant in Indian Meteorological Department comes under Group ‘B’ non gazttted and non ministerial level.

SSC conducts a comeptitive examination for making recruitment on the specified position in Indian Meteorological Department.

Eligibility:
Applicants are required to be a citizen of India, subject of Nepal, subject of Bhutan etc.

Also, the age of the Applicants should not exceed the maximum age limit set for the post i.e. 30 years

Applicants are required to possess Bachelor’s degree in Science or Computer Science or Information Technology or Computer Applications froma recognized institute.
