On-line application for Stenographers (Grade C & D) Examination, 2017 conducted by SSC were available w.e.f. 17-06-2017 to 15-07-2017 (upto 5.00 PM).

Vacancies 2017 of Stenographer Grade C and Stenographers Grade D were in Ministries/ Departments of Central Government, including their Attached/Subordinate offices located in States and Union Territories all over India.

SSC Stenographer 2017 Eligibility Criteria :

Nationality / Citizenship:
One must be either: (a) a citizen of India, or (b) a subject of Nepal, or (c) a subject of Bhutan, or (d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January,1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika 2 and Zanzibar),Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Educational Qualification-
One must have completed 12th Standard or equivalent degree from a recognised Board or University.

Age Limit-
The age of applicants should be between 18 to 27 years old as on 1.8.2017.

Relaxation in age will be offered as per government rules and regulation.
