Staff Selection Commission will conduct the Junior Engineer (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contract) examination 2016 tentatively from March 1 to 4, 2017. SSC will fill up 1100 vacancies for the post of Junior Engineer in various government departments on the basis of the marks in Paper I and II exam. Allotment in the various departments will be done on the basis of merit. SSC JE 2016 – 17 Important Dates Publication of Notification Sept 30 2016 Release of Online Application Form Oct 1 2016 The last for submission of SSC JE Application Form November 3, 2016 Release of Admit Card for Paper 1 Nov 2016 Exam Date for Paper 1 Tentatively from March 1 to 4, 2017 Result of Paper 1 Exam April 2017 Eligibility- Junior Engineer (Civil), CPWD – B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute. Junior Engineer (Electrical), CPWD – B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognised University/Institute. Junior Engineer (Civil), Department of Posts – B.E. / B.Tech. / 3 years Diploma in Civil engineering from a recognized University/Institute Junior Engineer (Electrical), Department of Posts- B.E. / B.Tech. / 3 years Diploma in Electrical engineering from a recognized University/Institute Junior Engineer (Civil), MES – B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering OR 3 years Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute and with 2 years work experience in civil engineering works. Junior Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical), MES – B.E. / B.Tech. in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering OR 3 years Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute and with 2 years work experience in electrical/mechanical engineering works. Junior Engineer (QS&C), MES – B.E. / B.Tech. / 3 years Diploma in Civil engineering from a recognised University OR Passed Intermediate examination in Building and Quantity Surveying (Sub Divisional-II) from the Institute of Surveyors (India). Junior Engineer (Civil & Mechanical), Central Water Commission – B.E. / B.Tech. / Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering from a recognised University/Institute. Age limit- For the post of Junior Engineer (Civil, Electrical and Mechanical), Central Water Commission and CPWD the candidate’s age should not exceed 32 years For the post of Junior Engineer (Civil and Electrical), Department of Post and Junior Engineer (Surveying and contract), MES candidate’s age should be between 18 to 27 years. For the post of Junior Engineer (Civil, Electrical & Mechanical), MES candidate’s age should not exceed 30 years. Age Relaxation in the upper age limit for reserved categories will be provided as per Government rules Application Fees Candidates will have to make a payment of Rs 100 as their Application Fees. However, Payment of Application Fees is exempted for women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen (eligible for reservation). |
