The SSC Assistant Grade Examinations is a competitive examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission.

Through the Assistants Grade Examination, the Staff Selection Commission employs personnel for the following posts:

Grade IV Assistant in the General Cadre of the Indian Foreign Services
Grade II Cypher Assistant of the Cypher Cadre of the Indian Foreign Service Branch
Assistants’ Grade of the Railway Board Secretariat Service
Assistants’ Grade of the Railway Board Secretariat Service
Assistants Grade of the Armed Forces Headquarters Civil Service
Assistants in other Departments not included above
