Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth Deemed University (SBVDU), Puducherry announces admission to MBBS courses through Common Entrance Test, SBVDUMCET.

It conducts entrance test for Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute and Shri Satya Sai Medical College and Resaerch Institute for the purpose to admit students in MBBS Course.

Minimum Academic Qualification

One for admission to 1st year MBBS Degree Course should have passed the H. Sc (Academic) Exam conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Exam of Tamil Nadu or other equivalent exam with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC) in the subjects - Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany/ Zoology) / Bio-Technology.

One must have taken English as a core subject

One should also secure a minimum of 50% marks (40% marks in respect of SC/ST/ OBC) in the CET to be eligible for seeking admission

Age Criteria:
Candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December


Permitted Number of Appearances in Qualifying Exam:

The maximum numbers of appearances permitted to pass the qualifying exam, for admission to MBBS degree course for different categories of candidates are:

MBBS Course SC/ST: 02, OBC: 01, Others: 01

SBVDUMCET Entrance Test

1. The students will have to take an Objective Type Test in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Botany & Zoology

2. Admission/No. of seats available is subject to MCI/MInistry of Health and Family Welfare Approval
