Here I am looking for National Institute of Technology, NIT Silchar Guidelines for admission into M.Tech programmes during Spot Round, how can I get that, will you please provide here Guidelines for admission into MTech programmes during Spot Round???

Can you tell me who conducts Counselling for admission in 1st year of the B Tech (Bachelor of Technology) courses in NIT (National Institute of Technology) Silchar?

Admissions to the first semester of all B Tech courses in NIT (National Institute of Technology) Silchar are made on the basis of seats allocated by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) from the list of candidates selected by all India JEE (Main).

Besides, a specified number of foreign nationals/NRIs selected under the policy laid down by Govt. of India, are admitted directly to the 1st year of the courses.


Documents required during B. Tech. First Semester Admission

As per the schedule of events of JoSAA, physical reporting at admitting Institute is mandatory for students who have accepted a seat in NIT Silchar. All admitted students will be allotted Hostel.

At the time of admission, all the newly admitted B. Tech. students are to produce Original Certificates/Documents as shown in the following list, along with one set of photocopies duly self-attested.

1. Mark sheets/Grade Cards: Class X and Class XII.
2. Class X admit card/ pass certificate/ birth certificate (any one).
3. Class XII pass certificate, if available.
4. Score Card of Qualifying JEE (Main).
5. Seat Acceptance Letter issued by JoSAA Reporting Centre (RC).
6. Upgraded offer letter issued by JoSAA Reporting Centre (RC), if any.
7. For OBC (NCL) category students, OBC-Non Creamy Layer Certificate as per JoSAA format.
8. In case of SC/ST category students, Caste Certificate as per JoSAA format
9. In case of PwD category students, Physical Disability Certificate as per JoSAA format.
10. In case of EWS category students, EWS Certificate as per JoSAA
11. Medical Fitness Certificate as per JoSAA format.
12. To claim tuition fee waiver, Family/Parental Income Certificate issued by competent authority, as per guidelines available at the Institute Website
13. Proof of payment of Seat Acceptance Fee during reporting
14. Demand Drafts/Online Payment receipt for the balance amount of fees: Part I (if applicable) and Part II as per fee structure available at the Institute Website
15. Coloured identical Passport Size Photographs with white background (3 numbers).
16. Photo identity card issued by Govt. agencies/last attended school/Class XII admit card.
17. Aadhar card, if available.
18. Anti-Ragging Affidavit (a) by the student and (b) by Parent/Guardian on a Non-Judicial Stamp Paper of Rs. 10.00, as per the format given in the Institute website
