The School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi was founded in 1941.

It was started as Department of Architecture of Delhi Polytechnic.

It was later affiliated to the University of Delhi and integrated with the School of Town and Country Planning.

Now the School is a specialized University.

It is an “Institution of National Importance” Under an Act of Parliament (Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India).
