Why does South Indian Bank conduct SIB Essay Competition, every year for High School/College students in India or children of Non-Resident Indians, studying abroad? What age group students can participate in SIB Essay Competition?

South Indian Bank Limited is a private sector bank headquartered at Thrissur City in Kerala, India. South Indian Bank has 897 branches, 4 service branches Rules of the Essay Competition Language English (only) Eligibility to participate Children of Non-Resident Indians studying abroad in Std. VIII to Std. XII Particulars to be given Name of the participant, class and full mailing address & E-mail address if any Stipulations regarding the Essay The Essay should not exceed 1000 words and shall be neatly handwritten/typed/computer generated on one side of the paper only. Cut & paste from Internet is not allowed. Procedure for sending the Essay The participants has to fill up the entry form (given overleaf), get it attested by the Head of the School with seal of institution. The Essay together with the filled up entry from shall be mailed to: The Asst.General Manager, Planning & Development Department, The South Indian Bank Ltd., Head Office, SIB House, Mission Quarters, Thrissur - 680 001, Kerala, INDIA Selection of the winners The winners will be selected by a panel of judges appointed by South Indian Bank and the decision regarding the selection shall be final. Prizes First Prize: Rs. 5,000/- and Certificate of Merit Second Prize: Rs. 3,000/- and Certificate of Merit Address The Asst.
