Sophisticated Analytical Instrument facility was founded in 1978. Sophisticated Analytical Instrument facility (S.A.I.F.) Formerly known as Regional Sophisticated Instrumentation Centre.

S.A.I.F. provides services to personnel work in research in the physical and biological sciences. SAIF usually emphasis on housing facilities. The funds for the procurement and maintenance of the instruments are provided by DST while the infrastructure is provided by Bose Institute.

SAIF also provides training to students of College, Universities, educational Institutions.
