Yes, off course you can enter into Software field after completing your graduation in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 60.0% marks.

There are mainly two stream available in IT field
1) Software testing
2) Software Development.

If you are interested in Software testing field, you have to under go Software testing program which is generally of 6 months.

If you are interesting in coding, you have to know various technologies.

You must learn a programming language like PHP, RoR, Java, HTML5, Javascript or any other language of your interest.
