As you said that you have completed B.E applied electronics and engineering. As if you want to make career in software field then you have to equal with computer science or IT students. According to my knowledge you must have good programming knowledge.

I think you have to complete JAVA course that is J2EE. If you want to study more than you should join ORACLE and SQL classes. As per my knowledge these courses are sufficient to get a job in Software Company. Don't just try to get your degree.
