The B. Ed. Special Education (Learning Disability) Program as offered by Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women's University is designed to enable the student teachers to explain and respond to the educational, physical and vocational needs of persons with disabilities; develop skills in systematic assessment; plan and implement educational programmes needed for the children with special needs.

Eligibility

Min. 45% marks in Graduation as per Rehabilitation of Council of India norms.

Min. 40 % for candidates belonging to reserved category as per existing State Government rules.

Reservation for candidates with Visual Impairment, Hearing Impairment and Physical Disability, as per Government rules

Parents/Caregivers of children with special needs may audit the course if they do not meet the eligibility criteria.

One is not eligible to appear in semester exams. One is given certificate of attendance from Centre of Special Education, SNDT Women’s University.

• Practical &fieldwork: English or any of the Indian languages used by the institution where fieldwork is conducted.
