SLET is one of the mainly important tests to attain a job in universities, higher education institutes and even colleges, as an assistant lecturer.

SLET is also known as TNSET. It is conducted by Bharathiar University. Total 27 subjects are built-in the exam.

Tamilnadu SLET Exam State Eligibility

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed the PG or Masters Degree in the concerned order with minimum 55% marks obtained in the concerned qualifying degree exam.
(50% marks for SC/ST)

Age limit: No bar

Presently, the State Level Eligibility Test is conducted in the following states:

1) Maharashtra

2) Gujarat

3) Andhra Pradesh

4) Madhya Pradesh

5) Rajasthan

6) Uttar Pradesh

7) Jammu & Kashmir

8) Andhra Pradesh

9) Tamil Nadu

10) Goa and

11) West Bengal respectively

SLET exam tamilnadu 2014 syllabus

Candidate has to appear for total 3 papers for the exam. The subject which is selected by the candidate will appear in paper 3. Paper 1 and 2 contains the subjects like:
Comprehension
General Awareness
Reasoning aptitude
And mental aptitude .
The paper 1 will be bilingual (English and Tamil) and the question paper will be similar for all subjects in which SET is conducted. For paper 2 and 3 will be also bilingual for some particular subjects. The candidate can appear paper 2 and 3 only if he appears paper 1.
