Can you provide me the Syllabus of The West Bengal State Eligibility Test (SET) Exam conducted by West Bengal College Service Commission?

The West Bengal State Eligibility Test (SET) is conducted every year in the months of September/ October respectively by the West Bengal College Service Commission. Syllabus for Exam: Paper 1: Reasoning Ability, Comprehension, Teaching Aptitude, General Awareness, Numerical Ability, Data Interpretation, Computers and Logical Thinking Paper 2: Subject based questions of objective type Paper Pattern: First Session – paper 1 – 100 marks – 90 minutes 60 out of which 50 question to be attempted Paper cutoff marks: GENERAL 40 (40%)OBC/ PWD/ SC/ ST 35 (35%) First session paper 2 , 100 marks, 90 minutes 50 questions – all are compulsory Paper 2 cutoff : 40/35 percent, Second session -paper 3rd , 150 marks . 150 minutes , 75 question all are compulsory. Paper 3 cutoff: 75/60 percent Subjects and Subject Codes in WB SET English(01) Bengali(02) Sanskrit(03) Hindi(04) Urdu(05) Commerce(06) Economics(07) History(08) Philosophy(09) Political Science(10) Education(11) Chemical Sciences(12) Geography(13) Life Sciences(14) Mathematical Sciences(15) Physical Sciences(16) Sociology(17) Psychology(18) Library & Information Science(19) Physical Education(20) Electronic Science(21) Computer Science and Applications (22) Home Science(23) In other words, the syllabus of the WB SET is prepared on the similar lines of the syllabus of the UGC NET. |
