Maharashtra State Eligibility Test for Lectureship (SET) is conducted by the University of Pune As a state Agency. Eligibility: The applicant must have Master's Degree recognized by U.G.C. with minimum 50% marks. Subjects: General Paper on Teaching & Research Aptitude (Paper-I) Marathi Hindi English Sanskrit History Economics Philosophy Psychology Sociology Political Science Defence and Strategic Studies Home Science Library & Information Science Journalism and Mass Communication Social Work Public Administration Mathematical Sciences Environmental Sciences Physics Chemical Sciences Life Sciences Earth , Atmospheric, Ocean & Planetary Sciences Geography Computer Science and Applications Electronic Science Commerce Management (From 26th SET Exam) Law Education Physical Education Required documents: Original SET UNIT COPY of Bank Challan. Final Year Mark list of Master's Degree or P.G. Diploma of equivalent examination (in case of candidates who have passed Master's Degree) Marriage certificate/Gazette Copy (in case of any change in name) Caste Certificate/Validity Certificate issued by Competent Authority from Maharashtra supporting the claim. SET or State Eligibility Test, is an aptitude test who want to join the teaching field. The exam is conducted in every Indian state under the guidance of University Grants Commission. SET is held twice in a year i.e. in the month June and another in December Eligibility:- Age Limit:- There is no upper age limit. Qualification:- The candidates need to have Master Degree or P.G. Diploma from an institution recognized by U.G.C. The General category candidates must have scored minimum 55% marks in Master or equivalent exam, are eligible for the test. SC/ST/PH/VH (PH-Physically Handicapped. VH-Visually Handicapped i.e. Blind) category candidates who have scored minimum 50% marks in Master or equivalent exam are eligible for the test. Candidates who have appeared or will be appearing at the qualifying Master degree may also apply for this test. However, such candidates will be admitted for the SET Exam on provisional basis. Such candidates need to complete the P.G. degree exam within 2 years from the date of SET result with required percentage of marks failing which they shall be treated as disqualified.
