Union Public Service Commission had conducted Combined Limited Departmental Competitive Examination for recruitment of section officers in October 2015 . Section Officers’ Grade and Stenographers’ Grade-I/Grade ‘B’ of the services on which candidates will placed : Section Officers’ Grade of Central Secretariat Service Section Officers’ Grade (Integrated Grade II & III) of General Cadre of Indian Foreign Service, Branch 'B'. Section Officers' Grade of Railway Board Secretariat Service Grade ‘A’ & ‘B’ merged of Central Secretariat Stenographers' Service. Grade-I of the Stenographers’ Cadre of Indian Foreign Service, Branch ‘B’. Grade ‘A’ & ‘B’ merged of Armed Forces Headquarters Stenographers’ Service. Grade 'B' of the Railway Board Secretariat Stenographers' Service. Section Officers’ Grade of the Intelligence Bureau. Section Officers’ Grade of Armed Forces Head Quarters Civil Service. SO/Steno (Gd B/Gd-I) Limited Deptt. Competitive Exam Syllabus SO/Steno (Gd B/Gd-I) Ltd Deptt Competitive Exam consists of questions from the relevant subjects along with General knowledge. SO/Steno (Gd B/Gd-I) Limited Deptt. Competitive Exam Pattern SO/Steno (Gd B/Gd-I) Limited Deptt. Competitive Exam consists of three parts as given below: Paper – I It will consist questions from the subjects of interest and importance in the present day. Questions will be set to test knowledge of the broad salient features of the five year plans, Indian Economy and major Developmental Schemes besides intelligence awareness of current affairs both national and international. Question can also be expected from: The principles of the Constitution of India. Rules of procedure and Conduct of Business in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The organization of the machinery of the Govt. of India, Designation and allocation of subjects between Ministries, Departments and Attached & Subordinate Offices and their relation inter se. Paper – II This paper is intended to be intensive and detailed test in methods and procedure of work in the Government of India Secretariat and attached offices. Detailed knowledge of General Financial and Service Rules i.e Conduct Rules, Leave Rules, TA Rules etc. will be tested. Paper – III In this paper candidates are required to prepare notes and drafts on specific problems and précis from a passage. |
