Seats In IES Exam
Sir I am preparing for the Indian Engineering Services IES so can you please tell me that what is the seat matrix of the exam? What is the eligibility required for the exam?

IES refers to the services that cater to the technical and managerial functions of the Government of India. The Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) conducts the IES exam and the Union Government of India appoints IES officers based on the recommendations made by the UPSC Hey buddy the number of seats varies every year the number of seat in IES exam 2015 were 475, I am giving you the general guess for the seats Electrical : 100 to 125 Electrical and electronics : 100 to 125 Civil : it varies from 150 to 280 depending on vacancies in different department. Mechanical : 100 to 150 Eligibility At least a bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E. / B. Tech) from a recognised university or equivalent. M.Sc degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communications, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as special subjects also acceptable for certain services / posts only.
