Special class railway Apprentices Exam is conducted by the Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) in All over India.

Seats distribution:
GEN-24
OBC-14
SC-13
ST-5

Eligibility:
The applicant must have passed in the first or second division, the Intermediate or an equivalent Examination of a University or Board approved by the Government of India with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the examination.

This entrance examination generally covers following subjects:
General ability test
Physical sciences
Mathematics
