One who is pursuing medical education has a very bright future. Census states that life expectancy has been increased, thanks to the amazing development of modern medicine, thus the demand for doctors and treatment are tremendously increasing with increase in the ailments day by day.

With this degree one can work in a private clinic. There is a lot of money in the private sector. General practice only gets better as one wins the trust of the patients and the good will is spread by word of mouth to attract more patients to the clinic.

One can find well-paid position with attractive salaries in corporate hospitals as well as government hospitals. With experience, one become efficient managers in successful delivery of health care services as desired by a patient in the most helpful and generous manner.

They are preferred to work as administrators in the corporate setups. Apart from this, the emerging health insurance market, growing pharmaceutical industry, telemedicine sector, clinical research, pharmaco vigilance etc hold great charm and promise for doctors.

They can also pursue their career as tutors and teachers in the academic fields at medical colleges and universities.

Research is a field which is never ending and doctors have great scope in the field of clinical research. They can also work in the army, navy and air force under the Ministry of Defense.

Union Public Service Commission conducts Combined Medical Services Examination for recruitment to various posts as follows :

– Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in the Railways.

– Medical Officer in Municipal Corporations

– Central Health Service (Health Ministry)

– Indian Ordinance Factories Health Services (Ministry of Defence).

– Candidates are also eligible to sit for the Civil Services examination after M.B.B.S
