Gloucestershire County Council’s age limit for taking admission into primary section is given below: Age limit: Infant for pupils aged 4 to 7 in 3 year groups - Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 Junior for pupils aged 7 to 11 in 4 year groups - Years 3,4,5 and 6 Primary for pupils aged 4 to 11 in 7 year groups from Reception through to Year 6.
